WebTV/MSN TV IRCs by VVill

Talk City room owner and WebTV expert VVill has created these IRC pages for WebTV users. Each page allows WebTV users to chat using various features and interfaces. You must be enrolled in a Talk City subscription plan that includes IRC access in order for these pages to work.

If you get a blank screen, you need to reload (hold CMD down and press R five times). The room name cannot start with an exclamation point (!).

Finders IRC Makes playing Games-Finders on Talk City easier. The second typing line will put text thru keeping the text you typed in the box so you don't have to retype it.

Games-ABC IRC Improves Games-ABC play with many short cuts and quick vote.

Games-ABC (room 1) Same as above, but for Room 1.

Still Can't Connect?

Be sure you aren't using an old IRC. The ones on this page are updated and designed for WebTV Version 2.8.1

After connecting, you may get the error "password required for this room" if you use an outdated IRC.

Your IRC will also fail to connect if you spelled room name incorrectly, or if the room's name has special characters. Some examples of room names that would cause this problem (with the problem characters in red):

• My Hang Out 21+ pls
• !MarsChat
• WhatIf?

Room names with spaces like "Town Talk" are also a problem.

You might be able to join My Hang Out 21+ pls if you try something like My.Hang.Out.21.pls replacing the spaces with a period . and removing the plus + same for Town.Talk other characters have no way around you might want to talk to the room owner into changing room name a little.

You can change your nickname using the following command

• /msg IRC /nick NewNickHere

If one IRC doesn't work, try another one to determine if the problem is with a particular IRC.
