How do I sign out?

If you're in a chat room, click on the 'Close' button in the upper-right part of the window (if you're using IRC, follow the instructions appropriate for your client). Then from the main room page, click on the "Log Out" link that appears on the far right of the purple bar near the top of the page.

Why can't I get in any chat rooms?

You may need to adjust a few settings on your computer, and in your account.

• In IE, go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced. Make sure you have all three of the Java boxes checked. (Called VM, or Virtual Machine.)

• If you have a firewall, make sure that port 23 is open.

• Make sure you don't have any pop up stoppers enabled.

• Upgrade your browser. You should be using IE 5.5 or higher, and Netscape Communicator 4.75 or higher.

• Download the most recent version of the Java applet from Sun. http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4/download.html

• Try entering a chat room after each of these steps. One of them should work for you.
