How can I enter a room using Java chat?

Log into Talk City. On the top navigation bar, you will see a tab labeled "Chat Rooms." Click on it, and you will find a list of currently active rooms. Choose a forum, click on the name. You'll be in the forum, and will find the chat room below the "Chat Now" in the top left hand corner of your screen.

Why can't I get into any rooms?

You may need to download and install (or re-install) Java on your computer. You can get the latest version of Java at http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp. If you have problems after trying that, please come to the Talk City Info Central message board and tell us about your problem. Our staff will he happy to assist you.

How do I increase the font size?

Log into any forum. For example http://forums.talkcity.com/tc-infocentral. Click on a discussion, scroll to the bottom of your page. If you're in Advanced mode, you should see:

Adjust text size: Smaller 9 Larger

Otherwise you see:

See who's visited recently - Advanced View

Click the link to switch to Advanced View. Adjust the text size to your liking. This setting will apply to the Chat Rooms, and the Discussion Boards.

How do I change the background colors for chat?

This is not possible at this moment, but improvements are coming.
